WHAT'S INVOLVED IN A CLASS?
For children participating in an 8 week term programme, a skill set such as, 'core strength and balance' 'Hand and Foot-eye coordination' or 'Ball sports' will be the focus for the term. You will be advised of the focus skill set at the start of your child's programme. Our classes are around 30-40 minutes long, dependant on total class size, starting with activity games together followed by apparatus play.
Activity games include: dance, drama, sports skills, active listening, finger play, colour recognition, and self-expression.
The children are taught how to use all the equipment safely and correctly, including trampolines, A frames, tunnels, beams, climbing and jumping stations.
Aparatus play teaches children: safe climbing, jumping, safety rolls, balancing for memory, ladder climbing, safe landing, dismounts, and much more. These exercises develop the vestibular system which is responsible for balance.
